CAMPAIGN PLATFORM

Eric is not a career politician. He is not backed by political insiders or special interests. Like many Nebraskans, he never imagined running for Congress. For years, he focused on building a life, raising a family, and contributing to his community. But as he watched the cost of living rise, government spending spiral out of control, political division intensify, and trust in public institutions decline, he became convinced that ordinary citizens could no longer afford to sit on the sidelines.

His commitment to liberty began early in life. Personal experiences taught him the importance of constitutional rights, equal justice under the law, and the need to challenge authority when it exceeds its proper limits. Those lessons shaped a lifelong belief that government exists to serve the people—not the other way around.

Eric is running for Congress because he believes Nebraska deserves real representation. He believes Washington has become disconnected from the people it serves and that both major parties have contributed to growing debt, rising costs, and increasing division. He is committed to bringing a practical, common-sense approach to Congress focused on lowering the cost of living, restoring accountability, protecting constitutional rights, strengthening communities, and putting the interests of Nebraskans ahead of politics.

CAMPAIGN PLATFORM

Hardworking Americans are doing everything right and still falling behind. Families are paying more for groceries, housing, healthcare, fuel, and everyday necessities while Washington continues spending money we don’t have. Both parties keep growing government, increasing debt, and weakening the value of the dollar while ordinary workers carry the burden. I believe in free markets, honest competition, lower taxes for working families, and responsible budgeting that protects future generations instead of burying them under endless debt. Government should empower opportunity — not inflate away the American Dream. wer to this item.

A free society depends on both liberty and justice. We need law enforcement focused on protecting communities from real violence, trafficking, abuse, and organized crime — not wasting limited resources criminalizing peaceful Americans over victimless offenses. I support restoring accountability, strengthening constitutional protections, and ensuring the law is applied equally to everyone.

County sheriffs are unique because they are directly elected by the people they serve, making them one of the most locally accountable forms of law enforcement in America. I believe local communities should have a stronger voice in public safety, constitutional oversight, and holding institutions accountable when trust is broken. That includes empowering communities and local law enforcement to help ensure transparency, professionalism, and accountability at every level of policing.

Justice must be fair, constitutional, and focused on protecting the rights and safety of the people.

No society can call itself civilized if it fails to protect its children. Crimes involving child abuse, trafficking, exploitation, and violent harm should be aggressively prosecuted with serious consequences for predators and anyone who knowingly enables them. We must strengthen coordination between law enforcement, improve victim support systems, and ensure our institutions prioritize the safety and well-being of children above politics, profits, or bureaucracy. Protecting our children means protecting the future of America itself.

Congress was never supposed to become a permanent ruling class disconnected from ordinary Americans. Our government was designed to represent citizens — not political parties, lobbyists, corporations, or career politicians who spend decades protecting their own power. I believe it’s time to restore accountability, transparency, and real representation by returning government closer to the people it serves. Elected officials should answer to their constituents first, explain their votes honestly, and remember that public office is a responsibility — not a career entitlement.

America became strong through families, churches, local communities, charities, neighbors, and people helping one another — not through endless federal bureaucracy and generational dependency. I believe many social services are more effective when led by local organizations and community-based solutions that understand people personally and treat them with dignity. Government assistance should encourage pathways toward independence, community involvement, and personal responsibility whenever possible. The goal should not be permanent dependence on government, but stronger citizens, stronger families, and stronger communities.

America is facing a growing mental health crisis, yet too many people struggling with depression, PTSD, addiction, trauma, and treatment-resistant conditions are trapped inside outdated systems with limited options. I believe patients, doctors, and researchers should have greater freedom to explore emerging and alternative treatments supported by science, transparency, and informed consent. We need to remove unnecessary barriers to innovation while protecting safety and accountability. People who are suffering deserve hope, access to effective care, and the freedom to pursue treatments that may restore their quality of life when conventional approaches have failed.
